King Oscar Tacoma Inn & Convention Center Now Open
Tacoma , Washington , September 1 st , 2005 – The King is at it again. 92 year old Oscar Hokold is now boasting the largest block of hotel rooms in Tacoma. Hokold purchased, renovated and re-opened the former Best Western Tacoma Inn.
The opening of the King Oscar Tacoma Inn adds another 152 hotel rooms to the South Tacoma area. Paired with the neighboring 223 room King Oscar Motel, 375 rooms and over 10,000 square feet of convention center meeting space is now available, making it the largest facility of its kind along the Interstate 5 corridor in the Pacific Northwest.
The King Oscar Convention Centers offer meeting space in conjunction with the ability to utilize whatever type of catering their clients desire, including bringing in their own food. A list of preferred caterers is provided, but clients are not limited to that selection. Ample free parking is available for patrons. Clients may also select whichever party rental, audio visual companies, DJ’s and décor providers they desire. This element of choice allocates patrons to better control the costs of their events.
The former Copperfields and more recently known as Mickey O’Reiley’s Restaurant is now Oscar’s Restaurant, and is currently under renovation to open Fall, 2005.
Located conveniently at 8820 & 8726 South Hosmer off of Interstate 5, the King Oscar Convention Centers are ideal locations for business and leisure group functions.
