Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler honor Northwest hotel
Snoqualmie, Wash. – Salish Lodge & Spa, a romantic mountain retreat 30 minutes east of
Seattle, took home honors as one of the world’s best places to stay in the January 2006 issues of
Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler magazines.
Travel + Leisure readers selected the world’s 500 best hotels, resorts, lodges, inns and safari
camps, including 183 properties in the United States, in the recent World’s Best Awards survey.
Salish Lodge & Spa achieved a score of 83.5, the highest rating among the four Washington state
properties honored on the list. The magazine praised Salish Lodge & Spa’s “competitive edge
fantastic outdoor activities in a dramatic mountain setting” and recommended “a massage in the
lovely spa” as a “don’t-miss” experience.
Salish Lodge was also named to Condé Nast Traveler’s 2006 Gold List – the world’s 700 top
hotels, resorts and cruise lines as chosen by magazine subscribers in the 2005 Reader’s Choice poll.
The property earned an overall score of 88.3, including a rating of 89.0 in dining, the highest overall
score in all Washington state properties.
