• 2 Amtrak stations: in Edmonds, and in Everett, with service to Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, and Eastern Washington.
• Serviced by Greyhound Bus Lines & countywide public transit.

Weather:
• Our climate is moderate year-round. The average high in August is 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Talking rain: We get less in the summer than you might think. Colorado Springs, Colorado averages more rain each summer than we do (two whole inches more in August). Our annual rainfall is about the same as St. Louis, Missouri and Syracuse, New York.

TOURS:
Visit the world's largest building at Boeing's assembly plant in Everett.

Watch for three pods of Orcas that live in Puget Sound.

Explore the state's largest wetland by sea kayak.

Watch wild salmon return to spawn at their birthplace.

Drive two nearby scenic byways for spectacular views of craggy snowcapped peaks, waterfalls and wildflowers.

Cast for a prized steelhead on the world-renowned Stillaguamish River, or for king salmon in Puget Sound.

Explore our marine life from a sea kayak along the shore of Puget Sound

Go "antiquing" in Snohomish, antique capitol of western Washington, plus many other historic small towns in our county.

Hike or bike the easy four-mile railroad grade to the ghost town of Monte Cristo.

Go rock hunting in our Cascade Mountains for crystals, geodes and fossils.

Try your luck at the Tulalip Casino in Marysville.

Scale the Index Town Wall, one of the toughest climbs in the state.

Run the Class IV rapids on the upper Skykomish River in a raft or kayak.
