You don't need a horse to enjoy cowboy country.
But it's a good idea to bring a camera when you visit Wyoming. And don't forget to pack your binoculars too. Over half of our square-shaped state is public land. And that means when you hold a meeting or event here, you have a great chance of getting an up-close view of our wildlife. Wildlife isn't the only thing we have in abundance. Wyoming has all kinds of high quality meeting rooms, banquet facilities, hotels and lodges for your next team building meeting, conference or boardroom retreat. Afterwards, you can explore a backcountry trail or simply enjoy the scenery while sitting comfortably in the front seat of your SUV. But we recommend you get out of your car if you want the full Wyoming experience. We have world-class rivers, abundant hiking trails, gorgeous mountains and prairies filled with wildflowers.
The Old West is alive and well in Wyoming. Hold your next meeting or event here and you'll have a chance to visit historic towns to get a feel for how our forbears lived. Take in a Native American powwow, where ceremonial dancers in full regalia recreate traditional songs and dances. And yes, we'd love to show you how beautiful Wyoming looks from horseback. Spend time at one of our many dude ranches or watch cowboys at work on the range and in the rodeo ring. Cheyenne's Frontier Days is the world's largest outdoor rodeo. And there are rodeos held throughout the "Cowboy State" nearly every day from June to Labor Day. Our cowboy country is the perfect backdrop for a one-of-a-kind wedding or wedding reception.
We also are home to the nation's oldest national park, Yellowstone. It's a perfect place to view the West in all its unspoiled glory-and glimpse everyone's favorite geyser, Old Faithful. When you hold a meeting or event here during the winter months you'll want to strap on a pair of skis, or hop a snowboard, and hit Jackson Hole for the ride of your life. During the summer you can catch trout with snow-capped mountains in the backdrop. Whatever you want to do, Wyoming is the place to do it. So lasso up some fun-Wyoming style. Just be sure you turn to the Pacific Northwest Meeting Planners Guide to help you make the most of it.
